Tokyo Tech Academy for Super Smart Society will hold Global Forum with its oversea advisors as world-excellent researchers. They will provide invited talks with respect to “5G & Beyond to realize super smart society” and perform group discussions with students in Tokyo Tech. The purpose of this forum is that the students obtain communication and deep thinking skills to conduct excellent researches in the world.

Dr. Ali Sadri

Dr. Ali Sadri is Vice President of the engineering for mmWave solutions at SOLiD Inc overseeing all mmWave related product development for 5G and beyond. Previously he was the General Manager of mmWave Standards and Advanced Technology at Intel Corporation. Ali has more than 30 years of scientific and engineering background starting at IBM, Duke University, and at Intel since 2002. Dr. Sadri has demonstrated successful track record of building breakthrough technologies such as WiGig 60 GHz standards, mmWave mesh Backhaul, and disruptive mmWave Distributed Relay. Dr. Sadri has over 150 patents all in wired line and wireless communications system. Ali serves as an international advisor to Tokyo Institute of Technology on the WISE (World-leading Innovative & Smart Education) program for Super Smart Society.

Dr. Sumei SUN

Dr. Sumei SUN is Head of the Communications and Networks Dept at the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR), Singapore. She is also holding a joint appointment with the Singapore Institute of Technology, and an adjunct appointment with the National University of Singapore, both as a full professor. Her current research interests are in next-generation wireless communications, industrial internet of things, and integrated secure sensing-communications-computing design. She is a Fellow of the IEEE, Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology, member of the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications Steering Committee, and a Distinguished Speaker of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society 2018-2021. She’s also Director of IEEE Communications Society Asia Pacific Board, Chapter Coordinator of Asia Pacific Region in the IEEE Vehicular Technologies Society, and member of the IEEE Communications Society Globecom/ICC Management and Strategy Standing Committee.
