Main Topic: Future of Super Smart Society​

Academy of the Super Smart Society will hold the SSS Global Forum on November 4th. There will be invited lectures by WISE-SSS international advisors who will discuss the future of the super smart society from their expert perspectives. There will also be research presentation sessions where SSS students can interact with international advisors, as well as group discussions and presentations on super smart society enabled by cutting-edge technology.

Prof. Branka Vucetic

ARC Laureate Fellow, Director of the Centre for IoT and Telecommunications
School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, The University of Sydney

Professor Branka Vucetic is a globally recognized expert in coding theory and wireless communication, holding the position of Laureate Professor at the University of Sydney. Her research encompasses wireless systems, IoT, and telecommunications, with significant contributions to adaptive coding techniques that have been adopted in all modern wireless standards. She focuses on mission-critical IoT applications that require ultra-low latency and high reliability, such as autonomous vehicles and remote surgeries. Professor Vucetic is leading the development of Long Range WiFi (LR-WiFi) technology, enabling cost-effective, high-performance connectivity for challenging environments, including mining, emergency services, and rural broadband. She is also pioneering AI-driven IoT applications in healthcare, such as systems for remote patient monitoring and vital sign sensing.

Prof. Suhono Harso Supangkat

Professor Suhono Harso Supangkat is a leading researcher specializing in smart cities, digital transformation, and IoT. His work includes pioneering frameworks such as the Garuda Smart City, which enhances data-driven decision-making for urban planning. By integrating technologies like cognitive computing and fuzzy systems, his research focuses on creating sustainable and innovative solutions for urban governance and infrastructure. His contributions have significantly influenced Indonesia’s technological and urban development.

Prof. Kriengsak Panuwatwanich

Thammasat University

Associate Professor Kriengsak Panuwatwanich is a leading academic in construction engineering and project management. His research focuses on digital transformation within the construction industry, leveraging technologies such as AR/VR and BIM to improve construction efficiency. He is committed to innovation management and enhancing safety in project environments, while also advocating for sustainable practices. Beyond his research, Associate Professor Panuwatwanich plays a significant role in academia through his contributions to academic conferences, editorial work, and professional associations.

With over 200 publications and significant patent contributions, he leads innovative projects like 6G-GOALS, aiming to revolutionize wireless communication by merging AI-native technologies with sustainable, intelligent network designs. His vision represents a groundbreaking fusion of communication, computation, and intelligence for 6G networks.

Dr. Thomas Haustein

Dr. Thomas Haustein’s research primarily focuses on advancing next-generation communication technologies, including millimeter-wave communication, massive MIMO systems, and cognitive radio networks. He is deeply involved in innovations for 5G networks and beyond, contributing to industrial wireless solutions and integrated fronthaul/backhaul architectures. His work lays the foundation for the future of wireless communications through cutting-edge projects and impactful publications.
