Mr. Akira Ito (Dept. of Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering, School of Environment and Society) received the Excellence Award for his presentation, “Proposal for Future Co-Creation for the Next 10 Years of Doctoral Education” at the 2024 Forum for Graduate School Educational Reform held on November 15-16, 2024, at Nagoya University..
This is the proposal by the interdisciplinary teams across various universities formed by graduate students from the Doctoral Program for World-leading Innovative & Smart Education, Program for Leading Graduate Schools, and Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation. They discussed and shared their current situations, future expectations over the next 10 years, and challenges. Based on these discussions, they presented recommendations for a better future for PhDs to either universities, the government, or companies.
